City Creek

I finally got to go check out City Creek!

My Mom, sister, and I decided to make a day of it and shop the new City Creek Mall last Saturday (the 14th).  We had so much fun!

Thanks Mom and Miranda!

Blaze Game 4-20-12

My little sister, Miranda won tickets to a Blaze Game last Friday and asked us if we wanted to come along to it.  We gladly accepted.
Unfortunately, her husband caught a little bit of a bug and wasn't able to make it so, we just went by ourselves.  We still had a fun time.  Howie isn't into sports that much, but he always has fun at live games.

Before the game we were a little adventurous and tried out a new restaurant for dinner.  We walked over to The Gateway and ate at 'Bout Time Pub & Grub.  Hahaha, weird, I know.  The food was ok.  It all made for a fun night out on the town.

Jack & White

I am so excited!  Ahhhh!

So, I follow this blog right here.  The girl that runs it, Naomi, quite often does giveaways.  She has 14,000+ followers so, do I ever expect to win anything?  No, of course not.

Guess what?

I DID!

Feast your eyes on this post.

I won myself an autographed copy of Jack Matranga and Brooke White's latest music projects.  I was so excited to get this today because I got TWO CD's instead of the one that was featured in the giveaway.

AND

Look at the added personalization in the autographs.  "To Tara"..."Congrats"  You can't really see the ones on the black album...but they're there.  I will seriously cherish there!

Thanks Naomi! rockstardiaries

FedEx Delivery

This really made me giggle when I got home today.

I ordered another Nutrisystem shipment which had just arrived.  When I got home, the box was like this on our doorstep...
The delivery man had taken our door mat and placed it on top of the box.  Noticeably.  Weird?  Yes.

I then got to the note on the door and it said...
I love how he actually thought I wouldn't have noticed!

Quote

I found this quote forever ago and I always want to keep it so, I'm posting it here.
"There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action.
And because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique.
If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium.
And be lost.
The world will never have it.
It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable it is, nor how it compares with other expressions.
It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.
You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work.
You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you.
Keep the channel open.
No artist is pleased.
There is no satisfaction whatever at any time.
There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction.
A blessed unrest that keeps us marching.
And makes us more alive than others."

Not sure who said it, but I really like it.
